Iván Márquez
Luciano Marín, alias 'Iván Márquez,' is a member of the Secretariat, or ruling council, of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia – FARC). He is considered a radical political and ideological leader. Authorities in Colombia say he spends most of his time in Venezuela where, in 2008, he represented the FARC during negotiations for a swap between captured Colombian soldiers and kidnap victims in Colombia. Marín replaced Efraín Guzmán as the commander of the Caribbean Bloc (Bloque Caribe) after Guzmán’s death. Marin also heads the 59th and the 19th Fronts. He joined the FARC in 1985 and became a member of the Secretariat after Luis Alberto Morantes, alias 'Jacobo Arenas,' died in 1990.
